The mechanism is smooth, as is the texture of the leads. Wish there were a couple more color options like a purple instead of 2 shades of blue. The colors show up awesome and are really easy to switch around.

Use this pencil for marking in my bible. Great for coloring in/highlighting after circling with a pen. Text shows through really well and the color does not bleed through at all on fine bible paper.

Cons

This is not what i was expecting for a $15 pensil. I just wish it worked as advertised. This item was overpriced to begin with at almost $20.
