Quality
The quality was good and smooth to blend.
They provide good coverage and are easy to paint with.
⭐️1 star - i don't recommend it at all, poor quality.
The ease of blending is there, where as it's non-existent with the r&l brand.
Price
This was a great price for so many colors.
Great value, and you get a lot of colors!
It wouldn't be cost effective to bother with open stock when the sets run so cheap.
⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - i don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.
Shipping
I got to them in time so they are ok.
I've never worked with oil pastels but i'm a long time artist and these delivered.
Packaging/appearance
This set is well packaged and it’s easy to see what you have.
The variety of colors is great, and i love the little additional packs of neons and metallics included.
Or it could have something to do with how or where they are manufacture or how they are boxed and/or packed.

Competitiveness
I don't have a lot of experience with different brands but if you are familiar with the royal & langnickel brand, pentel is much better.
The 50 color range is new, used to be pentel was only available in 36 color sets.

Theyre good quality pastels although theyre not as soft as some other brands

My 4th graders did find they needed to use a bit more pressure and so theyre more likely to break when youre trying to get a full color pay off
