Pentel is a solid brand that's priced perfectly for a beginner or young school student (grades 5 and up) reasonable price and good quarry for kids. Colors are very pretty. By richard's wife, deb.

The colors are very rich and have high pigment in the colors. Nice assortment of colors, and great pigmentation. Colors are crisp and true.

Cons

Paints are not usable. Can't move it around at all, just continues to make droplets of paint.

These are much better than all these brands of watercolors.

Seriously, i keep noticing that the best writing and art products i keep around are pentel, so i'm officially a fan.
