I personally use them for technical drawing with the pencil perpendicular to the page so the balance isnt as much of an issue

When i first got it sometimes the leads wouldnt advance and i discovered that the lead had broken off inside the tip

The pencil retracts with a good amount of force and the resulting shockvibration might have broken the lead

After replacing the lead the breakage issue stopped completely

The pencil grip is good and the protraction and retraction of the lead and protective tubing is predictable though not entirely precise
