Pros

Best mechanical pencil i've ever used. Comfortable and solid pencil feel. Love pentel and have been using these mechanical pencils for over 20 years. Only complaint is the sharp end doesn't retract.

It has a knurled grip that ensures that it doesn't slide out of your hand. The metal grip is fine for up to moderate use.

I was skeptical about not having rubber grip at first but the quality is amazing.

I have a graphgear 1000 but an artist needs a variety of pencils in different thicknesses and grades of lead.

Better than other pricey name brands, and even other pentel varieties.

I guess this was my fault but i was looking for a graphgear 500 with blue lead for my daughter.

I do not use the eraser in the back but a mars staedtler white eraser (i make lots of mistakes).
