Cheaper pencils can give me trouble when loading new leads it seems like the mechanism doesnt acquire the lead easily and you have to keep pumping the cap

When clipped on to the top end the push button top on the cap then pushes on to the button on top of the body to activate the ratchet lead mechanism

Reason for losing a star is my product came in a broken plastic ‘gift’ box and the spot where you insert lead doesn’t have an eraser and it doesn’t fit any that i could find
