The pen capped is well balanced and writes smoothly. It wipes off the metal body with ease and still writes really smooth. Seems to have durable fitting points and a durable mechanism.

The pencil has a sleeve around the lead which minimizes breakage and retracts when not in use.

Both the pen and pencil are solidly made and feel great to hold. The diameter of the pen is not big but it weighs heavy and well balanced. The liquid gel pen is beautifully weighted and balanced like a top tier fountain pen.

The pen body also accepts uni-ball signo 207 or uni-ball jetstream refills in addition to energel refills.
