Pros

The best mechanical pencil. It is a smoother pencil than many more expensive ones i have purchased elsewhere.

I've haven'tfound anything wrong with the erasers -- they are as good as any. My only complaint is that they've removed the metal pin that was attached to the bottom of the eraser.

The length of the nib is just about right and though a fixed nib, it works really good for both writing and drawing. Never needs sharpening, excellent for drawing schematics and taking notes. It is mostly used for sketching.

The seller lives up to my expectations from amazon. Bought as a cheap throw away for my field kit (wildlife biology) incase it was lost.

Cons

Pentel makes good pencils; but the particular item i recieved from amazon. Had a bit of cardboard stuck to the side of it. Very disappointed in this cheaply made product.

Quality

Best mechanical pencil on the market been using one for 35 years!

I'm so thankful these are still quality pencils after using them for over 20 years (my first drafting pencil).

It does feel a little less sturdy than i expected, and the metal tip loosens occasionally and has to be tightened again.

The barrel is solid, and has slight ridges to help with grip.
