The leads advance easily with a clicker button, the eraser advances by twisting. The erasures are better than they used to be. Highest quality in pen materials, erasers & lead.

Pentel mechanical pencil is a great product.

Great value. Very happy. Totally worth it. Seems ok. Overall this isn't too bad. Great buy, but. If they stay the same, good deal.

Cons

The twist eraser is a tiny twist nib at the end of the pencil instead of a section of the barrel that you can grasp while erasing. The only workaround i've found is to hold the tiny twist rim while you're erasing, and that's just a hassle, so i return... Read More

Item received in a box being hastily taped on both ends by packaging tape. I have one that's a real japan one, and it is thicker and considerably better.
