I remember waiting for the last book to come out, bouncing on my chair as i raced through the final pages. In preparing for the summer reading assignment, my daughter (in her 20's) picked up the book and read it. Every book is a new adventure!

It seems like the author grabbed the harry potter series and tried to re-write it for a 3rd grader. The characters are not well developed and it's hard to empathize with the characters.

I love the greek mythology and found myself doing research on some of the gods i was unfamiliar with.

All of the rick riordan books are so good especially the percy jackson series and the heroes of olympus with the roman demigods.

As with the first book we see past characters in greek mythology show up and create some fun exciting moments for the protagonist.
