So i got the proper fluids and a fresh tube of permatex used brake cleaner a rag and a straight razor to clean up the sealing surfaces and put everything back together following the directions to the letter

Now they do say to wait 24 hours once you have mated the cover with the gasket sealer on it to the rear end housing
