Pros & Cons
Pros
Permatex is the good stuff, of course. Can't beat the price and hard to find locally. Items were shipped together. This works great.
It holds the seal. I use it to seal the underside of the van to make sure no carbon monoxide is able to get into the van from the exhaust opening. Sealed the timing chain cover for 2002 corolla. Used as gasket for generator exhause.
When used properly this sealant always works. I let it sit for 24 hours and test. No more exhaust leaks. No leak so far.

Easy to use and worked well between a header pipe and flanges.
I have a compressor that the original rubber gasket on a cover stated leaking and would not stay in place.
Two months later and not a drop of oil has leaked out.
Price
Bought this thinking it was a bit cheaper online but when i went to the actual store there was a sale on them for less.
Good price compared to local auto parts store.

One thing i did take note of with this particular parmatex gasket sealant is it seems to be thicker in consistency then other brands ive used in the past which is good

Had to use this since the surface between the 2 flat surfaces of the exhaust pieces where the gasket goes wasnt perfectly flat and the bolts didnt tighten it up enough for the gasket to work without leaking between the 2 pieces
