The app tells you when to empty the waste drawer, when to refill the odor removing liquid, when it cleaned automatically after each use, it has the option to clean at your request or automatically. My cat is 15 and adjusted to this in one day.

Pura x works great with regular clumping cat litter that my cats prefer from costco. I was outnumbered and needed help keeping up with cat clumps and dumps. I wish the filter was removable. Still beats scooping the litter box by a million, imo.
