Pros

The petmate 00300 sky kennel ensures the safety and well-being of my pet during transport. Perfect sized kennel for a 10lb cat for short haul flights. Only downside to this crate is you will have to buy a kit to make it flight approved.

Cons

Product claims to be iata approved, it is not. The door does not have a mechanism to secure it closed when the pet is travelling in cargo. The old style of the crate has been sent (with the 4 long vertical bars on the side vents) and is useless for my... Read More

How hard is it to design your product so that it fulfills the requirements it is advertised to do? The plastic body is definitely crudely cast, rough edges on mine and scrapes on the body already.

The crate itself is durable and secure.

Going from an all wire crate to this one there is a little difference in the sizing due to the roundness shape of the petmate carrier.

Shipping

However, i didn’t realize the air kennel already came with a bowl, so i didn’t need the extra kennel that shipped separately.

I just had to do a little measuring for the length & when it arrived it was just the right size.
