Pros

French bulldog fits just fine in this kennel. This crate is great to help with calming.

The latch is husband proof. The smooth plastic surface and removable tray at the bottom allow for quick and convenient cleanup.

Cons

Mom's 20+ year old petmate crate is much sturdier. There were two large clumps of sharp plastic on both the top and bottom of the crate. Do not buy this crate.

The door on this is flimsy and not heavy metal as what appears in the picture. The door knob is not usable. Even the door latch mechanism is weaker.

The only job a cat carrier has to do is keep a cat contained and this failed miserably. It is not for dogs that have separation anxiety or very strong chewers. My five-month old golden retriever puppy has no room to grow in this thing.

The plastic is so much thinner and brittle feeling. The carry handle which used to be riveted on is now a very thin, extremely cheap part. The window grates and doors are much less secure.

We found this one and when it arrived boxed up, it was easy to get out and assemble.

Competitiveness

We found another one at a local store and tried that one and it worked better so we returned this one.

I bought the 90-125lb model kennel on a recommendation from a breeder, as she has 5 of them for each of her berners.
