The low fill bowl is a good idea cause my dog gets more water on the floor than in her mouth and this limits splashing

Dogs like it only issue is that it gets dirty reaaaaaaally quickly and the water jug is heavy to continuously take on and off

Comfort knowing my dog always has water and dont have to fill it up daily works well easy to refill
