Pros

I have a pit-bull that has sever separation anxiety. This crate has a 4 way locking door rather than 2 way. Bought this for my 80# golden retriever to travel in to hawaii.

After the first trip i was reassured that their carriers would keep them safe. All the flights are 24 hours with a layover and plane change but they hold up. Hours + another 3 hour stint - and it was perfect.

Cons

Amazon does nothing to hold it's sellers to any kind of a standard. When a customer purchases an item at the price of what a new item would cost, it should be new and not used.

The locking door is useless. The twist knob gets jammed and the metal bars attached hit the door grill. Not a fan of the new rotary door opener and complexity of the 4 pins.

Hate to leave bad reviews but it doesn't say much for the sturdiness of the item. The plastic has no rigidity to it. If you pick it up by the handle without anything in it it sags.

Alaska airlines charged me $150 each way to fly with this crate in april of 2024.

(i think the price is high though.

We flew two 6 hour flights with alaska airlines (amazing customer service by the way, especially since i was nervous too!

The crates came quickly and we’re easy to assemble.

We bought two of these to transport our dogs overseas.

Packaging/appearance

Just got it and it looks great!

Came in great shape and it was super easy to put together.

The giant box it comes in has doubled as a pretend ice cream truck for my 7 year old.

Easy to assemble… looks classy… although the cardboard box it came in, was totally torn in half when it arrived
