Change the water every 1-2 days to remove extra dust and debris that collects. Plastic scratches and hides bacteria.

These filters appear to be of decent quality. Inexpensive and easy to change out the filter system. Best to buy a big pack.

Cons

These filters are completely useless and i will never purchase them again. Shame on me for not reading the reviews before purchasing. Other buyers beware!

When placed in the filter holder the water bypasses the filter doing absolutely no good. The carbon is very loosely packed.

I use these regularly and are always good quality

It removes dirt, aerates well, and keeps the water fresh for intended time or more

At best, i'm able to get about a week of use from these before they start bleeding charcoal into the fountain.

I simply rinse the filters for 15 to 20 seconds prior to installing them that way any excess charcoal does not end up in the water.
