The flaps don’t stay closed, i’m constantly going over and closing the flaps.
It got to -40 this week and i closed it off when it was that cold and put a heater buy it to keep my house warm.
Price
Seriously, spend the extra money on this one.
Overall for the price it's a great item.
It is more than twice as expensive as the standard door.
Competitiveness
I highly recommend versus the cheaper options available.
I've had the normal petsafe before, the cheaper one, and it doesn't compare to this!
Also bought better weather stripping at the hardware store.

The double sided tape on the plastic sweep that is supposed to insulate the vertical part of the overlapping sliding door panes doesnt stick well to the door or the rubber itself

My pella sliding door sits on a narrow rail in the bottom track

With the double pained glass it doesn’t freeze over so we can see through the window

This is easy to instal… but in really cold weather it froze up around the edges as air does still get in
