Pros
We’ve tried the training videos, harnesses, slip leads, you name it. Always pulls. I have one coming for my smaller spicy lady now.
High energy aussiedoodle. Strong puller and very excited about smelling things and people. I have a 130lb great dane who is big a puller.
Scout's reactivity to cars and bikes has been intense. People seem to think it's a muzzle, and so will cross the street.
The idea is to practice good leash manners and wean them from the gentle leader over time. It isn’t painful to the dog. It is a gentle way to teach a dog to walk on a leash.
Cons

It definitely irritates our dog she doesnt like it covering her nose but it doesnt hinder her at all while out walking or training

He usually goes off leash at home but when i need to take him places it gets difficult because he so excited that he pulls quite a bit
