I love the beeping before it activates the zapping and just the beep she will scurry away. They continue to bounce around the house at night just like normal.
These are truly amazing. They really do work for the intended purpose. Search correctly as there are also different sizes.
The mat electronics seem to calibrate sensitivity when first powered up. I’m not sure how long it will last. I hope it lasts. The battery life seems to be fine.
It's a slight static zap only, but the kittens learned their lesson for about 1 week. Stopped a behavioral peeing issue with a 4-year old male cat.
Cons
The first two mats lasted less than a year. The battery drained quickly. The controller no longer works.

I expected the 9v battery to die pretty quickly but it has been over a month and the same battery is still in good charge
