Petsafe's product are great. I check that it’s still dispensing the correct amount with a measuring cup after i refill it and it has never failed. When unplugged, the backup batteries work as intended and feed her on schedule.
When he hears the feeder going off, he runs to the bowl. We use small kibble that is fairly uniform in shape and it has never jammed. The child lock keeps my cat from feeding herself.
The only flaw is i wish it could deliver smaller portions. The app is very easy to use and change portion sizes.
Love this feeder. Cats are foragers so i figure this is pretty good for their nature also. Also got the splitter attachment for 3 dishes.
Cons
Despite refreshing their app for another, the flaws in the app's design continues. I feel terrible for recommending this to a friend just one week before mine went out. Steer clear. It's burnt out.
Have always had difficulty with it disconnecting from the wifi. If the wifi is off for even a very short period, the feeder disconnects and will not reconnect until i fiddle with the phone app and an unfolded paper clip.

Took about a day or so for the cat to become familiar with the sound and newness, but it works great and my cat's health has improved.
Yes, the product in question dispenses food on time, but it breaks after 6 months of use.
And after several months of use the product starts 'leaking' food when you walk by it.

Horrible product for such an expensive price.

I also had to tape the bowls to the floor so the cats couldn't bat them away in their attempts to coax more food out of the shutes.

Only when your pet has braved its way thru the existential crisis this food bowl has ultimately created will they be ready to snatch what little food they can from the tray without awakening the beast leaving a horrible mess of crumbs like hansel and gretel unfolded in your kitchen

Plugs need to be changed into square instead of rectangle so that you can plug multiple feeders into the wall

Stainless steel bowls are cheap and not 1810 or a goodsafe grade for animals
