Pros & Cons
Pros
Yardmax is the only fence that will keep my dog at home. They only really have to suffer the zing a couople of times before they understand what the beep means. I charge the collar overnight every 2 weeks & i believe it can last 3+ weeks before ru... Read More
Cons
Collars are cheap. The rubber flap always pulls off and then the prongs inside break. Currently, i have a collar that only has 3 prongs and won't charge. The transmitter shows the on light, but no a, b or wire break lights come on.
I wish the charging port was better made, usb would be 1000% better. There seems to be a bug with the “yardmax” feature of this system.
The warranty is 12 months, but this pushes my cost for the outfit to around $580. That’s the the * quality and greedy high replacement part costs.
Make your purchase and beware. I so regret buying this. A total bust. Product packaging in photo is incorrect.
Yardmax mode doesn't even work (at a 3' test height) when i switch it to traditional mode, the correction starts about two feet inside the fence line and makes the safe yard impractically small. These dead spots are nowhere near underground utilities ... Read More

Quality
With the neighbor's help, we sometimes knew which direction they headed.
I left the wire above ground to start and that visual barrier with the flags made training super easy!
Price

I ordered 1000ft of 18 gauge wire and twisted wire as well.
They hear that beep and they understand its a no doggo zone.

This doesnt correct them until after they cross the line and they cant jump or run through because they have to come back for the correction to stop

I must admit we did have problems in the beginning—the alarm on the transmitter kept going off meaning we didn’t have a continues loop which meant the fence wasn’t working

Turns out our problem was the transmitter

There is no way to replace the rechargeable battery forcing the customer to purchase a new collar

The last collar lasted about 4 years so not too bad

The hardest part of the setup was twisting the wires back to the house for a neutral line but once using a power drill it went quickly

I buried all the wire close to the house but waited for falling leaves to cover the most of spots near the tree brush line

He was definitely timid for a couple of weeks and cautiously explored his new parameters before he was able to 100 enjoy his free time roaming
