Competitiveness
This cpu is by far better than any of the amd fx cpus as far as i am concerned.
This processor is an excellent choice and is cheaper than intel's processors like i7.
If you really want to spend the money then up grade to one of amd's new ryzen cpus and change out your mobo.
I guess whatever makes more money for amd.

The benchmark scores using amd overdrive show very little difference between the 2 cpus on stock settings
