I have two installed and can definitely notice a difference in the air quality.
Swapped this out for the generic, terrible quality uv light that came with my coralife uv sterilizer.
Yes the original phillips bulb that had the key slots went out for some reason with only 5 months use.
Price
Highly recommend purchasing this bulb for $20 rather than the same bulb with slots at $48 to $80.
The replacement bulb for my uv sterilizer normally retails for ~ $56, so this is a crazy bargain!
At less than half the price of the official coralife replacement bulb i can't recommend this item enough.
The cost of the bulb was cheap enough that i bought two of them and still came out ahead from buying them locally.
Shipping
Bulb didn't work in our unit but our unit malfunctioned evidently so sent bulb back for a refund (free shipping) which seller r... Read More
Packaging/appearance
Great price, packaging a little lame, but it did arrive in one piece
Competitiveness
This is the only uv bulb brand that i found to be effective.
Also, i took a look at my old honeywell oem bulb, and it very clearly has the same markings as the philips bulbs, so it appears... Read More

I used this to replace the bulb on my honeywell ruvlamp1 unit and it had identical markings to the honeywellboxed ruvbulb1 that was expired

The only difference was the honeywell purchased version had notches cut into the bulb base opposite the identical philips markings that corresponds to tabs on the honeywell bulb holder
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I removed the tabs and placed the side of the bulb base without philips markings on the side of the filed off tabs

Direction likely doesnt matter since this bulb is reversible in other bases designed for this bulb and i doubt honeywell changed this up somehow
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
That said to be sure i matched the direction polarity out of an abundance of caution

The lamp socket on the honeywell duct or plenum mounted uv devices a twistin mounting fixture may have two small raised keying bumps where the bulb base inserts
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
These new bulbs no longer have the keyway slots in the white bulb base and the bulb will not insert fully
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The fix is to use a sharp utility or jacknife to carve away the two keying projections in the lamp socket
