Cons
Very low brightness. Where it lets itself down is in the morning when i come to start working. Amazon finally have me a refund but the monitor has still not been returned despite numerous requests for this to be arranged.

I was looking for a screen with built-in speakers and thus limited my choice - and paid more.
I bought this for £199 in the black friday sale to replace a dell u2715h as my primary desktop monitor.
Packaging/appearance
However i literally had to destroy the packaging to actually get to the monitor - possibly the worst piece of packaging i’ve seen in years.
Competitiveness
Bigger, better and higher quality than i'm used to, with a brand that i trust.
Determined to find a better alternative, i returned the philips 275e1s and opted for a different monitor instead.
In comparison with other monitors, given the price, and overall dimensions, it did not bother me at all.
While a higher refresh rate would be ideal for ultra-competitive gaming, the 75 hz is more than sufficient for most gaming scenarios.

The only issue i have is that each time i turn it on itll black out for around 34 seconds at some random period after switch on

So ill be working away and suddenly a black screen for those few seconds then it back to normal and ok for the rest of the session

I bought this monitor after shortlisting this monitor and a samsung 32 monitor

The reviews for the samsung 32 said the samsung monitor slanted to the left and has a power button on the back that is fiddly to use as well as if you temporarily want to power the monitor off when you power it back on again all of your opened files appear on your primary screen so you have to remove them all to the samsung monitor
