When switching on you need to go through the filteration programme and set the water hardness. The machine comes with a water hardness tester so you know what setting to keep this at. The intensity settings are fine for me since i use 5/10 strength.

This is a coffee machine that is for the coffee connoisseur. The bean hopper is on the top of the machine that can just about hold a full normal sized bag of beans. The grind is quiet and adjustable aswell.

Given the cost is less than purchasing an iphone, snd the pleasure you will get from it, i feel it’s worth the investment is coffee is important to you.

Cleaning is always a bit of a faff and in this case you need to clean the milk spout after each use and perform cleans of the brewing unit. The milk hopper cleans in the dishwasher.

Cons

The drip tray fills up very quickly. Ended up with a faulty machine. Was fine with pre ground but beans forget it.
