Pros & Cons
Pros
The set is an attractive design, with a nice swivel centre stand. Viewing angles typically suffer with va panels (in exchange for great contrast when looking head on) but again- this tv probably has the best viewing angles out of all my va sets. Ambli... Read More
Android tv is great. The menus and applications all work seamlessly and are fast! For me it has a great image and good smart features. Tv looks sleek and stylish.
Hd pictures are excellent. Picture quality is exceptional but you have to fine tune the gamma, colour, contrast and set it it also to dolby vision bright for best setup in picture quality not like sony ready to go out of the box. I can't fault the tv ... Read More
Cons
For this to work you need to have a hdd connected to the tv via a usb cable. Android tv is questionable as a platform; often the menus feel sluggish with the remote. Can't play bbc, itv, channel 4 or my 5 apps. Can only play alexa apps.
Colour banding in darker scenes was miserable. For some reason they just seem blotchy, broken, and ugly. Where the set falls down is during darker scenes with any type of shading involved.
Crashing on netflix way too often. Phillips support is unresponsive.
Highlights
Quality
I have this in the bedroom for gaming and viewing and it’s the best tv i have ever owned the sound and picture quality is amazing
Picture quality is outstanding and, although i use an external soundbar, the speakers are much better than any tv i've had previously.
The picture quality is simply amazing despite it not being an oled tv.
The picture quality is also poor compared to the 43inch i already have.
Price
Had my doubts when i saw the price, but it's a fantastic tv.
While it might not be the most cutting edge tv on the market, the quality of it for the price is simply amazing.
Packaging/appearance
The ambilight was a super pleasant surprise, i've never had anything like that before.
Very pleased with this tv, got it cheaper due to having cosmetic damage which all i found was a few scratches on the back plastics.
Competitiveness
This has made a world of difference though so if you are thinking of a new tv be prepared to consider a soundbar too.
However, and it’s a big however……the tv remote runs the batteries out on a weekly basis!
My only word of caution is that the sound does feel tiny and disjointed from the screen action and i reluctantly purchased a soundbar.
I like the picture and ambilight features.

Although the hdr changes on streamable apps can create some noticable artifacts where patches are off colour
