Pros & Cons

Pros

This re-designed philips avent sterilizer is very compact and sleek. Otherwise, this is the nicest looking sterilizer i have ever seen.

Bottom level is open and can fit large & tall items (bigger than 9oz bottles) top level isopen and fits smaller things like *, bottle toppers, pumping shields. I wish it comes with a small 100cc cup so i can fill up the reservoir without measuring...  Read More

It is build up from using tap water. If you don't want this to happen then you need to use distilled water. To fix that just soak the metal plate with the unit unplugged for about 2-3 hours with white vinegar, then scrub and rinse.

Cons

I find the contraption to be rather bulky. Even with ample countertop space in my kitchen, i'm not willing to sacrifice the amount of space that this sterilizer takes up.

This product works for 1-3 months and then breaks for no reason. Just stops turning on. This is really annoying.

Bottle warmer performs badly. Water that has condensed after use is a big headache. Better off with dishwasher to sanitize or another brand.

All you have to do is put half a cup of white vinegar into the reservoir, and let it sit for about an hour.

I’ve done this several times and it never hasn’t looked new after!

One thing to note is that this machine does not dry the bottles off

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You will need to take them out of the machine and put them out to dry on a baby bottle rack

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

My friends got a machine that also does drying and if i had to buy again i would probably go for a machine that also dries the bottles out

Other thing to note is that the heating element will eventually rustget caked with stuff and this will cause the machine to die at some point

Everything except the base goes easily into the dishwasher

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If you stick with distilled water for the base you wont get calcification
