So with the next bottle i switched the setting to 2 oz.
I filled up 2oz and 4oz of cool filtered water out of my fridge (about 63 degrees temp) and filled up the warmer with the same temperature.

So as other reviewers have said this warmer has some drawbacks the dial setting is essentially a timer tied to the amount of liquid and temperature of the water bath there is no audible sound when it is complete there is only the visual indication that it is complete light ring around the power button everything is based on room temperature water so if its colder or even frozen the timer simply wont work right a lot is based on the actual bottle
