Pros

Plays all formats flawlessly. Allows you to create a basic dvd menu and parse the video into 10 min chapters. If you still have vhs tapes it's a great way to go.

This is a minor complaint, however, and the unit is well worth the price. It is still functional after a week and it looks all sparkly and shiney so it seems alright.

The only drawback is the remote, as it requires young, keen eyes to read the nearly microscopic labels which are above (rather than below) each tiny button. The biggest plus is that it is simple to use once you read/understand the directions. My only ... Read More

Cons

Every dvd i put in requires me to unplug/reset about 5 minutes into the movie. A refurbished vcr is not an option. No tuner mainly for the kids' vcr and dvd on smaller tv.

It has gotten allot of use and runs quite well.

I only gave 4 stars, since the remote control that came with it fell awfully short.

This allowes both a roof antenna and this combo unit to be connected to an older tv doesn't have rca inputs.

She has a whole shelf full of vcr tapes and hasn't been able to watch them.

Price

This was fine with me at this price point because it is extremely rare the i watch the three or four vcr tapes that i have.

All in all, a great product for the price.

I hope anyone who wants a combo; this is the one you need to get and it is not that expensive.

My old vcr died in 2009, and so i was looking to replace, i found this for around $100.

Ps it arrived right on schedule and hadn't been mauled - so more kudos!

Packaging/appearance

Very nice product, well packed and delivered before expected!

Hard plastic body and it came delivered it the box.

Guess it would be easy enough to buy another one but you would think they would package it better.
