Pros
Philips hue bulbs are the best smart bulbs i've tried. They have far better color and brightness adjustability than any other smart bulb that i have tried.
Hue products are always high quality and just simply work as you instruct them to work. Still relatively inexpensive. They are worth every penny!
They are easy to install, control, and customize. They have rock solid connectivity. kind of a pain to set up.
It’s so convenient and fun to have limitless color options. The app is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. The ease of control through the app and smart home integration is a game-changer.
Cons

Upgraded to a philips smart led bulb, faced similar connectivity issues as with previous brand. They are actually less bright than those which have 800 lumens in specs.

A few seconds later the bulb turned off and then back on.
I ordered this bulb for a floor standing lamp and simply installed and added the new bulb to my current system all in less than 2 minutes.
Price
These philips bulbs, while pricey, ultimately are worth it to me.
They are worth the price if you can get them on sale.
My only gripe is they’re so expensive.
Competitiveness
No complaints works with the hue smart hub as well as alexa.
I generally use the apple home app, but for colors and scenes the hue app is actually better.

I plugged it in to a socket with power and told alexa to search for devices

I was then able to rename it in the application and it immediately responded to the new name when telling alexa to turn it onoff dim etc

I didnt need to sign up for an account and set a password with philips i didnt need a smart hub from philips i didnt need to create an account with philips or link a philips skill to my alexa
