If reliability is the main reason you are looking at this—there are few (if any) materially better. Hue is pricey but totally worth it. Bought the 2 pack. The single pack is sold by amazon.

The philips hue smart plug is compatible with hue bulbs and google home. It works for a small lamp and a larger lamp with a specific light bulb. There are a few nits if you are not using the plug for a light.

The hue smart plugs work. They just work. This is the only solution that has been flawless for me. Click on the button below to enter the philips hue smart plug.

These work very well with the hue hub. Works with alexa and google. Connects to hub though the app with ease.

Cons

For the ones that work, it is simply enough to configure and setup. It remains a mystery how to debug the device since there is no support. What happens when it turns green and then starts flashing red?
