Pros

The light perform phenomenally and will go toe to toe with or outclass any others. If you already are familiar with the newest generation of hue lights, then this product is exactly the high quality and feature-loaded light that you are accustomed to.... Read More

Hue products are bulletproof, state-of-the art leds, and their price reflects it. Many people complain about the adhesive of these strips. I did use it to fasten securely to the tops of the cabinets to insure they wouldn't move.

Translucent cover adds thickness and a noticeable whiter look than v4. This one shows up due to it being thicker and whiter. It blends colors so extremely well, i still find it hard to believe it is only using 3 colors at a time.

The base kit comes with two extensions. The extensions can be joined with a passive extension strip via a 4 pin connector. The pictures taken are with my old queen size mattress on the bed before my new king size mattress arrived.

Cons

Con- these *do not stick*. This makes them heavy and bulky, which makes the sticking thing even worse. Fourth, the adhesive needs work. This weakens the adhesive and makes the light uneven.

I guess because they’re secretly selling used units on here that others have returned for defects. These should be taken off the market until they are labeled/marketed properly as not working with earlier generations.

Not worth the price for such a short lifespan. At least they're half the price so if it breaks you wont get burned as bad. Shame on me for trying to save money buying used.

Sad philips hasn’t improved on these issues since i bought their first lightstrip ~4 years ago.

Price

And for the price, you expect them to.

It’s a bit pricey and you’d think that at that price point, it would be more adhesive …

Packaging/appearance

Cut the old strip and connect ( a connector comes with the package thank goodness) to the new one.

So thank little power box cannot be brought by itself.

Competitiveness

A bit more expensive than similar competitors but worth the extra cost given their reliability and versatility.

The older wiz based model was flaking out for me so i tried a few cheaper brands that i wasn't happy with.
