We followed the advice of others and set them up on the hue app simply by plugging them all together indoors and thus making sure they all worked

Note that these lights do need a hue bridge connected via eternet cable to the wifi router to make them work

In the case of our purchase the two pedestals were classed as extensions and again come with plenty of cabling but as extensions do not include the plug and transformer
