Easy to set up with the alexa app.
Price
For those new to these bulbs, or hue in general, the price is high but you're paying for quality and the bulbs last years.
Only dropping a star as i think the price is still too high for bulbs.
Packaging/appearance
The philips hue packaging was ripped, bent and scratched, but i purchased these knowing full well that packaging was damaged.
Competitiveness
Unlike the previous hue gu10 design, these are a 1:1 match with halogen bulbs and so don't stick out of recessed fittings.
Reliable and longer lasting than cheaper versions by other manufacturers.

No problem installing but like some of the other reviews have said the hue lights are slightly thickerwider than normal bulbs so may not be suitable for fittings where there is not much space around the light fitting

Im only using these two bulbs with the bt app at the moment and the main downside as i mentioned in my review of the hue filament bulb is that it can take a good 5 seconds or more to reconnect to the bulbs each time when you bring your phone within range andor open the app even if your phones bluetooth is already on

Contrary to the suggestion in another review once initially paired you dont need to go close to pair again each time after power off you just need to be in the same room as youd expect with most bt devices

Incidentally the app suggested firmware updates which worked fine with this gu10 ambiance but hung when trying to update the hue filament after an initial panic wondering whether id bricked the bulb and some googling as advised i forceclosed the app then retried the update and fortunately it worked fine the second time round

Make sure you have the hue bridge if you want to use this with apple homekit just add it in the hue app and within a few minutes it will appear in your homekit app
