These are easy to set up with the amazon echo plus did not have an issue finding them and getting them to start using alexa routines

I did not realize that you could not use the native hue app without the hub even with the lack of functionality ability to make scenes geofencing exact color choice for colored bulbs the reason i got it was for the echo integration

Only thing not optimal was that it took 3 days for the hub to recognize a firmware update was available for this bulb

The bulb turned itself on in the middle of the night which prompted me to open the app

This only happens every once in a while not frequent enough to be a problem

If you notice the lights not working correctly you can power cycle the hub even if you aren’t home
