Pros
The bulb is very nice and the colors on this don’t disappoint. These are great for upgrading your existing high-hats. The only complaint is that some of the fixtures are a bit pricey.
Like all hue products, they're pricier than they should be. Worked like a charm though.
Hue works seamlessly with apple homekit, alexa as well as google for voice control. It integrates with siri pretty well.
Cons
All the lights leave a faint glow when they are supposed to be turned off entirely. If you shut the light off it goes right back to default yellow. When used with standard wall dimmer they flicker.
Philips products are way overpriced.
Philip’s chose the worst one possible. Metal clips scrape up the drywall and do not attach in the can above. You can damage the clean ridge around the down light canister. On the hue website, it appears they may have redesigned the metal clips.

They look so much better and integrate with the home automation nicely.
Already not very impressed with the 'quality' (potentially used) product that i received.
However i went with the basic room light colors because in the kitchen you would typically just need standard light.
Price
I had to install cans and then these so the cost was twice what i wanted to pay but the outcome was great.
Packaging/appearance
One of the units was missing the e26 adapter pigtail so it couldn't be installed.
Competitiveness
They integrate seamlessly with apple homekit, alexa as well as google for voice control.
I use them with both apple homekit and alexa but i mostly use alexa.

The biggest issue i have with these lights is the removal process

I had to remove the light from its housing and it was very difficult to remove

During the removal the process the light housing became loose from the ceiling

I had to slowly rotate the light in all direction while pulling it downwards in order to wiggle the light out

The light housing was definitely dislodged when i was removing the light

Later realized that metal clamps can be moved sideways to adjust to canister width and tried again
