Pros & Cons
Pros
The bulbs themselves are of course the usual good quality you would expect from philips hue. The bridge makes the connection very stable because it is wired. Once connected, it works great! Connecting and operating reliably.

Competitiveness
I use the whole set of this a a few other e27 bulbs with homekit, so i’m able to turn on and off with voice command via my homepod mini.
It would probably cost less, and be much brighter, to replace the fitting with one that takes a couple of e27 bulbs.

These e14 470 lumen bulbs are usually either about the same price as or more expensive than the larger and much brighter e27 1100 lumen bulbs which makes them feel quite overpriced even for philips hue

As with all hue white ambiance bulbs the headline lumen figure is not the full story

These bulbs only output their peak 470lm at a cool white colour temperature of 4000k however set these to a warm white 2700k akin to an old fashioned incandescent bulb and the max output is reduced to 320lm

Go all the way to 2200k and this will be even lower

If you just have the odd walltablebedside lamp requiring these then the price is just about bearable but i cannot recommend them for main ceiling lights as you would require so many bulbs 5 just to equal a single 100w incandescent bulb at 2700k that the price would be ridiculous even buying in multipacks

Additionally with only the top half of these bulbs illuminating if they are mounted high up they really need to be pointing downwards as seen in philips own pictures or much of the light is wasted just illuminating the ceiling
