Pros

The first aspect that captivates users about these smart bulbs is their exceptional versatility. Each package contains 4 bulbs. The bulbs are a little pricey compared to incandescent bulbs but a quality led bulb should outlive me!

Hue bulbs work with the hue app, homepod mini or home app on ios. They connect to alexa and google assistant for voice control. Easy to setup with the alexa app.

As a former nightclub dj, i know lighting greatly contributes to the * of a room. Philips has tons of light recipes to choose from in their app so you can set the mood according to how you feel. Vibey color presets are easy to pair with your device.

Easy setup with bridge (eventually - see below). Multiple bridges. They easily connect to the bridge. Seamlessly connected to the hue bridge.

Cons

Philips hue bulbs can't be controlled from a wall dimmer switch. They must be controlled via apple homekit via blutooth. The bulbs are not compatible with alexa or any other smart bulb app.

Pros: great bright to dim lumen range.

These all come on when it’s set and off when they’re supposed to.

And probably another half dozen or more not in use that have been decommissioned and replaced with smart wall switches over the years.

Price

This makes this a great deal for phillips hues - $15 a bulb.

Don’t let that deter you from these lights though as they are a great deal at this price!

Competitiveness

They also connect to alexa and google assistant for voice control.

I personally prefer the security and the user interface of apple but i have tried it with alexa as well and was happy with the results.

I tried multiple brands and none of them compared to the speed, color accuracy, dimming range/brightness that you get with hue.
