Philips is numero uno when it comes to smart lighting. The bulbs are a little pricey compared to incandescent bulbs but a quality led bulb should outlive me!
Customer service is outstanding. Worth it. Awesome product.
Hue is by far the most reliable homekit product i use. The stability of the system is unmatched among competitors. The quality of the components is top notch.
Cons
I'm familiar with the hue bluetooth functionality but honestly it's lacking so much of the functionality without the hub that i wouldn't even really use it. My kitchen ceiling looks funky with a missing bulb!

I took one star off because of its price in comparison to a competitor, wiz, which is a much cheaper though slightly less dynamic bulb.
I have been wanting to try these for a long time but $100 for 2 bulbs is crazy especially when competitors are 70% less.

If you want to make an investment in these go for it but i’ll never understand why i need to purchase a hub to have multiple hue bulbs

I’d recommend wiz which works through wifi for a more cost conscience consumer who doesn’t want to mess around with purchasing a hub and doesn’t mind a narrower color range

I havent tested smart assistant compatibility because my faith in the integrity of large corporations is practically null and i dont want to grant them voice data

The pricing has come down on promo and i don’t mind paying 5060 for 2 bulbs at least it’s a little competitive now
