Pros
The hue app is great but not really needed once it’s all setup. The setup out of the box was seamless. The hue system really shines is when you sync it up to your tv.

The brightness percentage is very accurate. You can use one as a reading lamp without having the room brightness at the same level.
Cons
The bulbs are unusable because the shut off and turn on randomly. One of my bulbs has a permanent flicker, not matter which socket the bulb flashes on and off. They failed to warranty the bulb. They cannot be used in enclosed fixtures.
The philips hue app isn't very user friendly. It doesn't work with siri or apple homekit. It only works in the alexa app.

My son in-law loves this product and i have to say it really changes the vibe in the room!

Just for fun if you ask for blue anything you have nearby with fluorescent coloring will glow like they would under a standard black light bulb

One thing that i would recommend is to write down the serial numbers before installing them and write down the light they are installed in

It’s very picky with the router

I also was not able to set it up with a smart speaker when i tried because of the router issue
