Download phillips hue bluetooth app this is important as there is also a hub app which will not detect this light if it is stand alone

Make bulb pairable on the phillips app very easy screw in to fixture straight from box ask alexa to find new device and youre done

Too complicated for my peace of mind so i looked for an alternative and ordered two of these philips smart bulbs

I half expected more complication but all i did was switch the bulb on and off a few times in the same room as an amazon echo device alexa and the alexa app seemed to have discovered it automatically

Its worth noting that after a recent power failure this philips bulb was still working ok whereas the first one needed to be paired with the tuya app again before it would work
