I like the idea of a having a sensor in the bulb to determine when the light should come on instead of connecting to wifi or getting a whole new pricey dusk to dawn light fixture

I was worried that the light would flicker or strobe or just not work because this bulb is mounted upside down in an enclosed fixture hanging from the flat painted white ceiling of the back patio

Using a regular light bulb screwed into a photocell adapter which was then screwed into the socket as purchased from the hardware store resulted in the photocell either strobing and flickering or just shutting off due to reflected light
