Many of the unhappy reviews are because the removable blade head starts falling off as the plastic clips that hold it in wear out

I had that happen after about 10 months so recently did a live chat with philips through their website

While i was waiting for the new blade to arrive i just ran a piece of tape across the top of the trimmer to hold the blade in simple temporary fix so it wasnt falling off miduse

At the beginning i fixed them paying about 30 for the piece but it was never the same it made a lot of noise and it felt different

Love this adjustable trimmer but the clips that secure the mainly used cutting attachment were thin and brittle an issue that other reviewers have also brought to attention

After just over a year of use the clip on the other side also broke and the cutting attachment would not stay on rendering the trimmer useless
