Pros

It does the bulk of the shaving quite nicely and quickly. I suggest rotating the blades every few months so each cutter head spends equal time in each of the three positions. Parts for these are also on ebay.

Cons

Norelco is the best of the worst. I congratulate myself not paying $100-$200 for their artic. Oh well.

Manufacturer claims 17 shaves before recharging. But the longevity of the shaver leaves a lot to be desired. It takes many passes to get a decent shave.

Face-grinder shaver is painful to use. Leaves a mess on the bathroom counter.

Battery level indicator is a step backwards from previous models. Best advise is try a different norelco model or order from a different merchant. All in all, probably a case of design by bean counter.

Triple head with 2 rows of cutters for more money just is not worth it. Norelco recommends not mixing up the cutters and the foils for this very reason. Against the grain did not work well for me.

Competitiveness

I find i always have trouble getting the stubble on the base of my neck and chin, so i keep a cheapy disposable for quick clean ups.

I have 2 new sets of hq9 heads so that's why i bought a second one.

In fact, it still lasts for over two weeks now in 2018.

Parts for these are also on ebay.
