Pros
Big improvement on previous model is the larger water tank. The iron locks onto the top of the steam generator for carrying and it also makes it easier to empty safely. Long hose means there is no need to have it on the board taking up space.
Let us not fool ourselves, it is very expensive compared to the usual steam iron, but it is fabulous. We also have a mesh ironing board with a special cover for the steam to *, making ironing a wee bit quicker.
It is light and glides across fabric. Love this iron, quick & easy to use, light weight.
It's super light, very powerful steam action and adapts temperature to the textile rather than by a manual dial. De-calc is easy, taking no more than a minute, but you need to do this very frequently. In no time it's done - effortlessly to boot.

They've made this a truly excellent product.
For this product, fleetwood mac ought to retitle the classic rumours song to you make ironing fun.
Not happy with this product have to wait two hours after descale to reuse iron.
Price
It is expensive and needs to have a long life to justify its cost.
Competitiveness
But i didn't want the expense of having to buy descaling rods as in other brands, so i will put up with this.
However it copes with thick cotton tshirts, jeans etc with no problems.

So here we have the phillips pro steam generator ironit’s a serious piece of kitaccompanied by a big price tag

On the downside this iron is quite a big beastwhen you include the steam tankso fairly heavy and has a chunky power leadthe steam iron also sometimes leaks a little when ironing and is also quite expensive
