Pros
The rf modulator is compact, well designed and easy to use. The price is reasonable (if you order it with something else, to save the shipping costs)! Couldn't be more pleased with the price and the item.
Ph61156 has multiple output ports and comes with 2 sets of cables. Works fine (on the switched outlet of the cable box) with _either_ the s-video _or_ composite video input. Only complaint is it did not include the promised 3' coaxial cable.
Plug in the power, rca (yellow-red-white)video/audio in from your dvd player, and coax output to your tv. It tutomatically switches from the cable input to the dvd when the dvd is turned on. Works great on older tvs.
Cons
The product says philips rf modulator, but no where on the product or in the manual is there philips mentioned. The picture quality is abysmal; the picture ends up looking the way tv stations used to when they received weak antenna reception. It's sho... Read More

It also has a s-video input on it however, when i did this i noticed considerable interference on both channel 3 and 4.
This rf modulator even has an s-video cable connection.

I think it has to do with its automatic detection feature when screens come up with a majority of one color like when something comes out in front of a plain one color background and the background takes up most of the screen it looks like scrambled cable
