This antenna like any indoor antenna is affected by lots of conditions the biggest factor is the antenna's location.
The top rotates to aim the antenna, and once i got a weak channel, i let my tv program the rest.

This is exactly what you need if your looking for hd channels without paying the cable company 20 extra dollars a month ;-)
With this antenna, my roku box (netflix), espn3 via my xbox 360, and my dvd collection, i am ready to save $1000 per year!
I just have to convince my wife that we no longer need to pay $86 a month for a bunch of channels that we really do not have time to watch.
For two tv's thats close to an extra 400 bucks a year.

Until this one arrived i was using radio shack rabbit ears which got about 10 channels i live in an apartment building but it has a pretty fair shot to downtownaccording to antennaweb
