Pros
Timer is simple to understand. Great battery life.
The toothbrush is well made and comfortable to use, you do not need to spend hundreds of pounds on one. The cleaning process is so much better than a normal toothbrush. In the beginning sonicare feels quite ticklish on the gums.

Higher spec models are much thinner. Much more usable and easy to take anywhere abroad. All points to philips' attempt to claim/sell a longer lasting time before recharging.
Brown rusty water leaking out of the seal between the metal attachment (the bit the brush head attaches to) and the handle body. Lasted just over 1. Requested a return, just useless.

Bought to replace defunct more expensive sonicare brush which had multi options which i rarely used.
My last sonicare toothbrush lasted about 4 years because i kept doing this.
I replaced with a cheapy own brand (nevodent) which wasnt able to hold battery more than a week at a time.

I saw versions of this product up to seven or eight times the price but as far as i can tell they dont work any better or differently from this

Oh and check out how much the replacement heads cost they are not that cheap but you need to be aware of the total cost of ownership
